Links

The modern internet can be a bit of a dull place, so here are some websites that I like which try to make it a little bit less dull! Please note that most websites here were not requested to be added, I simply think that they deserve more attention.

Cool Stuff

Tom Murphy VII's tom7.org

Oh man, Tom just has a ton of stuff on his site, and then more links to more sites with even more stuff! If you want to go exploring, this is a great starting point. My favorite are the Snoot toys, and especially the Escape game.

Peetledoodle is an animated webseries which I really enjoy. I really love the animation style, it shows how you can do a lot with simple designs. It's message also really resonates with me, which is probably why I enjoy the series so much.

The creator, Shrimps on stilts, describes Peetledoodle with the following in an indiespam interview:

Peetledoodle is a Flash-animated webseries about growing up as an outsider. Inspired by the spontaneous & unfiltered nature of early-internet art, I hope to send a message about compassion and self-expression in the face of a sometimes unwelcoming world. The series is lightweight, episodic, and generally aimed at teens/young adults.

Since you're still reading, you definitely are interested, and really should give it a watch on YouTube.

Modules are very cool file formats for music, and these two sites have a big collection of them! Modules.pl even has a radio which I listen to at least every week. Modules of course are a big part of demoscene, and they are what got me into demoscene as well. Who knows, maybe one day I'll make my own demos or modules and post them to these sites!

My Friends

Next we have my friends who have their own sites. I may not personally enjoy the stuff they have, but it's still worth checking out at least.

Lumihanki

Lumihanki (Finnish for snow blanket) is quite a simple site. You can listen to music, read some documents, check out the AIS catcher, listen to the radio, and that's pretty much it! The music is pretty neat tho.

Fanboy doesn't have that much interesting stuff to see, but his design skills are still on full display. He has helped me, and a few other people, with a logo before. If you need design work, ask him if he's up for it.

More???

If you know a site that I would like (and especially if it's your own), send me a message on matrix and I might add it to this page! It seems like search engines are getting worse and worse, with SEO-optimized slop that might not have even been written by a human consistently showing up at the top of the results. Perhaps if more people start having link pages, finding new and cool websites will become less of a chore? A man can dream.

If you feel like it, you can link to my website as well! I might make a proper web button in the future to make it easier.

Finally, here are all the web buttons used on this page for quick reference.
